Björk Announces Orchestral Tour Dates
Offering a new and experimental way to hear the Icelandic artist’s category.

Björk is hitting the road this Summer 2020 for a new experimental tour. “Björk Orchestral” will offer fans a chance to listen to the Icelandic artist’s category in a classical acoustic arrangement, kicking off in Moscow in early July and stopping over at Helsinki, Berlin, Paris then Cheshire for the Bluedot Festival, where she’ll be performing with Manchester’s revered Hallé Symphony Orchestra.
Earlier this January, Björk and Microsoft teamed up to create a generative soundtrack called Kórsafn (“kór” meaning choral and “safn” meaning archives) for the lobby of the NYC hotel, Sister City. The new experience utilizes Microsoft’s advanced AI technology to musically interpret the outside environment of the hotel, resulting in a reactive and ever-changing musical score that features pieces of Björk’s favorite choral arrangements from her career.
