adidas Running has already pushed the popular UltraBOOST line into the future with the UltraBOOST 20, but now it’s set to kick the signature silhouette into high gear with a brand-new UltraBOOST PB. The fastest UltraBOOST yet, the UB PB is lighter and sleeker than the line’s previous models, but equally comfortable thanks to its signature cushioning setup. It’s also set to be available in two colorways: “Cloud White/Grey Three/Core Black” and “Core Black/Cloud White/Signal Coral.”
Constructed of adidas‘s new CELERMESH, the UltraBOOST PB’s upper is feather-light but still supportive. This juxtaposition of important performance features is made possible by a single-layer construction with an internal support system. Meanwhile, plastic heel clips aid with lockdown and Three Stripe graphics inspired by Japanese calligraphy add to the air of speed. Down below, a full-foot BOOST midsole with a Torsion arch system and durable Continental rubber outsoles round things off.
Although both styles are equal in speed — and borrow elements from the ultra-fast adizero Pro distance running shoe — each is presented in a different fashion. “Cloud White/Grey Three/Core Black” presents an abstract mix of black and white that bleeds together in a digital print, while “Core Black/Cloud White/Signal Coral” offers a race-ready mix of black and red hues.
The adidas UltraBOOST PB will release on the adidas webstore February 27 for $180 USD.
