adidas NMD R1 Embraces Bold Geometric Prints in "Fractal Camo" Pack
A new spin on the staple silhouette.

adidas’ NMD R1 is a staple silhouette that’s seen a wide array of bold iterations. Back around the beginning of October, we saw atmos’ give the shoe a vivid snakeskin spin, and more recently, adidas delivered a Star Wars-themed pack in November. This time around, the German footwear company is back with another vibrant take, embracing vivid geometric prints in a brand new “Fractal Camo” pack. Featured are three colorways: “Sand/Core Black,” “Core Black/Gray Six” and “Collegiate Navy.”
All three sneakers are made up of a set of water-resistant materials like taped overlays, panels and sleek nylon. Starting at the top of the silhouette, adidas’ Trefoil logo is stamped at the tongue, followed by flat laces that are looped through a thin rubber eyelet panel. The back of the shoe boasts a tonal rubber heel counter, contrasted by a monochromatic ripstop pull-tab that doubles as the shoe’s backstay. Sleek Three Stripes branding is placed along the sidewalls, matching the overlays found at the throat line to complement the shoe’s smooth build. All of these details sit atop an essential BOOST midsole that’s been patterned with the same bold camo print seen in the uppers.
Each adidas NMD R1 from the “Fractal Camo” pack is currently available at adidas’ website for $130 USD.
In other footwear news, the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Earth,” “Flax” and “Tail Light” have been given regional release dates.
