Playboi Carti Confirms Christmas Day Release Date for 'Whole Lotta Red'
Launching pre-orders with the cover of his sophomore project.

Shortly after news of a potential Christmas release for Whole Lotta Red, Playboi Carti has now confirmed that his highly-anticipated sophomore album is set to release December 25.
Taking to Instagram, the enigmatic artist posted the cover art for the upcoming project and noted that Whole Lotta Red is now available for pre-order. Designed in collaboration with Art Dealer (Jung Yean Cho), the producer behind “Long Time – Intro” off of Die Lit, the mock magazine cover artwork interpolates Slash, a Los Angeles-based punk rock fanzine published by Steve Samiof and Melanie Nissen from 1977 to 1980. Accompanying the bold main graphic is text that notes that the album is “VOLUME ONE NUMBER ONE” Of Red, the fictional magazine from Carti’s OPIUM imprint and notes “the wonderful world of red/MAYDAY ISSUE 12/25.”
Check out the cover art above and head over to Playboi Carti’s website to shop merch and place a pre-order Whole Lotta Red before it officially releases Christmas Day, December 25.
