nonnative Equips the ASICS GEL-YETI Hi With GORE-TEX Functionality
Reinventing the 2000’s trail runner recovery silhouette.
nonnative has reunited with ASICS for new colorway of the GEL-YETI Hi themed around “Clay.” The boot’s design pays tribute to its origins as a recovery shoe for trail runners, with new technical elements added by the Japanese stalwart.
As a follow-up to 2018’s limited-edition release, the new colorways come with a “Clay” theme, referencing the strong underfoot grip and breathable waterproof functionality. The entire boot is wrapped in a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX upper, while nonnative has also added a new military-inspired lacing system.
The GEL-YETI HI is due to release in either black or beige, and each colorway is finished with nonnative embossing on the heel and a lining adorned with GORE-TEX’s logo.
Take a look at the two colorways in the gallery above. The collaborative boots will release at select locations including COVERCHORD, Dover Street Market and some ASICS stockists on December 19.
