Mel Gibson Is a Gun-Toting Santa Claus in 'Fatman'
“‘Tis the season for Fatman to get even.”
With the holiday season fast approaching, Saban Films has now released the trailer for the upcoming dark comedy Fatman, featuring Mel Gibson and Walton Goggins.
A rather unconventional plot, the story follows a washed-up, alcoholic Santa Claus played by Gibson, who is forced to keep his dying “business” alive by working with the U.S. military. As if that’s not bad enough, as 12-year-old boy named Billy decides to hire a hitman (Goggins) to assassinate Santa after the Christmas legend gifts him with a piece of coal as punishment for bad behavior. Unbeknownst to the hitman, it appears that he’s not the first one to have gone after Santa.
The film is produced by Brandon James, Nadine de Barros, and Lisa Wolofsky, while David Gordon Green, Danny McBride, and Jody Hill of Rough House act as executive producers.
Fatman will hit theaters November 17.
Elsewhere in entertainment, The Witcher has offered a first look at its main characters for season two.
