Notre and Nike Shake Hands on New Dunk High Collaboration
A clever handshake detail is worked into the shoe’s Swoosh.

Nike has bequeathed sneaker lovers with a deluge of Dunks — both of the Nike Sportswear and Nike SB variety — over the course of 2020, and the latest pair to appear is a crisp Dunk High, created in collaboration with Chicago boutique Notre. With an overall look that’s seemingly inspired by a mechanic shop and several interesting details, Notre’s high-cut Dunks are a welcome addition to 2020’s ever-expanding collaborative fold.
Built of white leather and shaggy “Light Orewood Brown” suede, the uppers present a classic, workmanlike look. This is given a dash of vibrance by the orewood laces’ red flecks and a rectangular white/red Notre badge embroidered directly onto the tongue, partially covering the standard Nike tag and giving off a mechanic shirt-style look.
Of special significance are the medial Swooshes. Each works in a clever handshake graphic that connects its front and rear pieces, while providing a compelling contrast to the lateral side’s standard branded embellishments. Dedicated Notre fans may recognize this agreeable graphic from the store’s past collaborative projects, like 2018’s Vans Old Skool. Large heel tabs appear directly below the leather collars to aid with entry and removal, while white midsoles and soft-toned outsoles finalize the look.
An official release date for the Notre x Nike Dunk High “Light Orewood Brown” has yet to be announced, but it’ll likely arrive this holiday season alongside a cool-hued blue pair. The MSRP is reportedly set at $150 USD, though official confirmation from Notre or Nike is pending.
