DaBaby Joins Dua Lipa in Outer Space for the "Levitating" Music Video
Intergalactic flight gets a ‘Great Gatsby’-meets-disco twist.
Accompanying the release of a collaborative version of “Levitating” featuring DaBaby, Dua Lipa dropped yet another visual for the Future Nostalgia track. Here, Lipa shoots through the stars in a futuristic, Art Deco-inspired elevator. She picks up DaBaby and rollerblading dancers before arriving to the intergalactic party.
The music video, directed by Warren Fu, drew upon fan-submitted talent through a competition hosted by Tik-Tok. Make-up looks, dances and animation submissions were all incorporated into the final product. Over the several days leading up to the release of the video, Lipa took to her Tik-Tok to share clips of fans teaching her their moves and showing the inspiration behind their submissions.
This take on “Levitating” keeps up the momentum from the first visual for the track released in August, which featured Blessed Madonna’s remix as well as Madonna and Missy Elliot.
