thisisneverthat & New Era Deliver Blacked Out SS20 Capsule

Last week, we saw New Era collaborating with Yohji Yamamoto on a concise capsule that saw a hat, T-shirt and sweater. This time around, the headwear company has called in Seoul-based label thisisneverthat for a four-piece Spring/Summer 2020 project: a bucket hat, baseball cap, crossbody bag and backpack.

Each item in the capsule is black and etched with contrasting white logos, embracing a minimal aesthetic that can be easily worked into any wardrobe. First up is the bucket hat, embroidered with “thisisneverthat” branding at the front, complemented by a tiny New Era logo at the side. Besides the branding, the rest of the hat is kept clean, subtly detailed with tonal top-stitching along the brim — its counterpart, the baseball cap, features the same design motifs, except over a six-panel 59FIFTY construction. One noteworthy piece in the capsule is the backpack, detailed with a bevy of sleek nylon straps and tonal buckles. Besides its primary and secondary compartments, a hidden pocket is placed at the front, just under contrasting white branding at the top. Lastly, the crossbody pouch bag is another highlight, rounding up the lineup with an alternative carrying accessory for those looking to use something smaller.

The thisisneverthat x New Era SS20 capsule is slated to land on January 30, 9 p.m. EST on thisisneverthat’s website — prices have yet to be unveiled.
