Legendary skater Gino Iannucci‘s Poets and Nike SB have teamed up for a SB Bruin collaboration. Inspired by Iannucci’s propensity for skating in unique silhouettes, the collaborative design presents a simple look, but adds just enough bold detailing to remain unique.

Sleek and smooth black nubuck is used on the slim uppers, with white laces, a white tongue tag and an embroidered white Poets hit on the heel providing contrast. Exposed foam tongues proffer retro flair as well, but the shoe’s signature design detail arrives via a low-slung bright green Swoosh that swoops down onto the the midsole. This embellishment calls to mind images of the dropped branding used on Virgil Abloh‘s popular Off-White x Nike Blazers from “The Ten.”

The Poets x Nike SB Bruin debuted on the Poets webstore earlier this week, but it’s now set to see a full retail release at stockists like the Berrics Canteen and Premier on January 4, with an extremely palatable MSRP of $80 USD.

Elsewhere in the world of skate footwear, the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro is set to release in a “Truck It” style, inspired by ’70s RVs and Southwestern road trips.
