Liverpool Officially Confirms Nike Partnership
Replacing New Balance as the team’s kit supplier.

After months of speculation, and a court battle with New Balance, Liverpool has officially confirmed its multi-year partnership with Nike. The deal is set to begin on June 1 this year, with Nike producing the club’s kits for the men’s, women’s and academy teams.
Announcing the partnership, Bert Hoyt VP, GM at Nike EMEA explained that “Liverpool Football Club has such a proud heritage and strong identity. The partnership with Liverpool underscores our leadership in global football and with the club’s passionate world-wide fan base and strong legacy of success, they have a very bright future ahead. We look forward to partnering with them to serve players and supporters with Nike innovation and design.”
While details of the deal have not been announced, earlier this year it was speculated that it would be a record-breaking partnership, eclipsing Manchester United and adidas’ £75 million GBP (approximately $92 million USD) a year sponsorship arrangement.
Keep an eye out for more news on the partnership in the near future, and for the first Nike-designed Liverpool kit to be announced as early as June 1.
