Alison Brie Can't Tell Dream From Reality in Netflix's 'Horse Girl' Trailer
Set to premiere first at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
Netflix has released a new trailer for its upcoming film starring Allison Brie called Horse Girl. The coming-of-age title sees a shy woman named Sarah (Brie) attempting to come out of her shell to have fun and fall in love. However, once she’s about to have an intimate moment with a future prospect, her nose begins to bleed and she begins to lose her grip on reality.
The trailer then shows subtle shots of horses alongside several other bizarre scenes that tease several strange cases that involve extraterrestrials, Sarah’s grandmother’s mental illness, and more imagery that could lead one to believe Sarah is lucid dreaming. Although most of these images arrive with no context, all these things may point to what is actually troubling Sarah.
Check out the trailer for Horse Girl above. The film will first debut at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27 before arriving on Netflix on February 7.
