Gucci's Vintage-Inspired Ultrapace Gets Vibrant Mid-Top Overhaul

Gucci has released a mid-top iteration of its vintage-inspired Ultrapace sneaker, appearing in a bold “Turquoise/Grey” colorway under its Cruise 2020 collection.
The Alessandro Michele-designed sneaker introduces a new look for Gucci, further tapping the retro themes that inspire its collections. With the mid-top, Gucci has combined turquoise and grey suede with black mesh, off white terry cloth, hot pink reflective materials and tan detailing on the “MID”-inscribed velcro strap and interlocking “GG” eyestay.
Gucci has also distressed the sneaker for a vintage look and feel, which is enhanced via the classic Gucci belt logo on the tongue tab and embroidered ’80s-inspired Gucci logo’s found on the heel and toe. It’s finished with a multicolored sole unit that’s stacked to provide cushioning and a 30mm lift.
