US-based sneaker store YCMC and New Balance have come together once again for the release of the 990v5 “Loyalty.” Last year the two imprints joined to create a $100 USD bill-inspired 990v4, and now the duo present a pair that “celebrates the hustle and the grind it takes to get to the top.”

The YCMC x New Balance 990v5 “Loyalty” pays respect to the sneaker’s legacy in the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia), let alone its global success as a culturally significant sneaker. YCMC has dressed the 990v5 in a clean classic colorway of grey pigskin suede alongside dark grey suede underlays, with bold red mesh poking through on the toe box, forefoot and rear-quarter. The theme is fittingly American, tapping into these Made in USA sneakers with a final touch of navy which has been used for the laces.

YCMC’s collaborative New Balance 990v5 “Loyalty” will release on September 6 for $200 USD via YCMC‘s website and in select Shoe City retail locations.

For more collaborative New Balance, check out the soon-coming Engineered Garments 990v5 pack.
