Engineered Garments' Mismatched New Balance 990v5 Pack to Get Global Release
Dropping in black, grey and navy.

Engineered Garments and New Balance will be launching their collaborative 990v5 in black, grey and navy iterations globally next month. Along with the special sneakers, the collaborative drop will include a set of matching graphic T-shirts.
Having previously released exclusively at NEPENTHES New York back in July, the three colorways will see a wider release at stockists worldwide as the pair continue their collaborative partnership. The 990v5 reworked by Engineered Garments features a mixture of smooth leather, nubuck, suede, crocadile skin-style nubuck and lizard-embossed nubuck, which makes up a patchwork-like construction across both feet for alternating patterns and designs.
The shoes are completely tonal and minimalistic, considering its heavy dose of mixed materials. The 990v5 is finished with branded insoles, a rubberized tongue tag and a set of mismatched cotton and waxed laces. ENCAP branding is placed towards the rear-quarter, highlighting the sneaker’s cushioning and supporting sole unit technology.
All three pairs will release at select stockists worldwide on September 7. Check them out in the Cam Hicks-shot lookbook above, and get a closer look at each colorway below.
