Drake's Unreleased Track "Behind Barz" Will Appear on 'Top Boy' Soundtrack
The tracklist includes songs from Ghetts, AJ Tracey, Little Simz, Dave and more.
The official Young Money Twitter account has unveiled the soundtrack to Top Boy, showcasing 17 songs including the unofficially released freestyle “Behind Barz” by Drake.
After Drake bought the rights, he executive produced the hit UK drama which is set to release on Netflix in the near future. Its soundtrack includes features from Little Simz and Dave, both of whom appear in the new season, as well as other London stars including AJ Tracey, Fredo, Ghetts, SL, Headie One, Avelino, M Huncho and Young Teflon.
Elsewhere, tracks from Popcaan, Nafe Smallz and Teeway make an appearance, while Giggs is seen doubling up with Baka on the song “My Town.” The majority of the tracks on this 17-song list are new and will be debuted on September 13 when Top Boy makes its launch on Netflix.
Drake’s “Behind Barz” is an unofficially released freestyle he dropped when he stopped by Link UP TV to promote the new series. The video has over 40 million hits since it released in July 2018 and has been said by many listeners that the Canadian rapper could be throwing shots at Kanye West inbetween his typically boastful bars. You can listen to the soon-to-be-released track for yourself above.
