Stella McCartney will be releasing the Hunter Wellington boot collaboration spotted on its Fall/Winter 2019 Paris Fashion Week runway tomorrow.

The boots are made from sustainable natural rubber and the innovative material, Yulex. Stella McCartney has given the Wellington boot a minimalistic and somewhat futuristic design, which shows off the mixed-material upper and its clean finish. Design elements such as the sculpted sole have been built-out by hand, while branding is kept to a minimum with a small “Stella” Hunter-style plaque seen on the front.

Channeling Stella McCartney’s ethos even further is the fact that the rubber is sourced from “sustainably-managed, certified forests in Guatemala, guaranteeing that no rainforests were culled to farm the trees used and protecting the wellbeing of workers and local communities.” The Yulex stretch-sock insert is a sustainable replacement for traditional neoprene, producing 80% less climate-altering carbon dioxide while delivering near-identical levels of elasticity and strength.

Three pairs will be releasing — including black and olive, as well as Stella McCartney-exclusive “Clatter Grey” iteration — and will each be priced at £320 GBP (approx. $395 USD). The Stella McCartney x Hunter Wellington boots will be releasing via Stella McCartney stores and online to begin with on September 10, before heading to Hunter locations and online on September 16. Select global stockists will receive the black and olive pairs on September 18, too.

In other news, Eckhaus Latta has released square-toed UGG boots and slippers for FW19.
