A Kind of Guise Puts Fabrics First in Texture-Heavy FW19 Collection

A Kind of Guise has dropped its Fall/Winter 2019 collection, once again delivering a selection of coats, knits, shirts, trousers and accessories in its signature contemporary yet timeless approach.
Standout pieces from the German label’s FW19 release include the “Leonard” shirt — a 100% Italian cotton, hand-made mother of pearl button-up shirt featuring white, “Berry Blue,” “Lemon” and “Pomegranate Red” stripes — as well as the “Don Carlo” box coat, which comes in various shades of mixed wool such as “Dalmation” and “Brown Melange.”
More informal pieces from AKOG include the “Gusto” shirt in a mustard-hued Italian corduroy, the “Gotti” overalls and the “Chamar” cap, which reworks a baseball cap-style with a shorter brim and a plush “Brown Sugar” wool and viscose blend. Each garment in the collection uses high quality ethically produced materials and is manufactured in Germany, marrying tailoring techniques with a minimalistic aesthetic.
