fragment design & Medicom Toy Are Dropping $1,900 USD Porcelain BE@RBRICK
CAUTION! Fragile.

fragment design is joining Medicom Toy once again for another take on the coveted BE@RBRICK. This new release will take on a more premium concept, dabbling in the world of 18th-century Japanese art with a “Kutani” version of the bear-shaped figure.
Kutani is a style of Japanese porcelain that gets its name from the Kutani area, now part of modern day Kaga, Ishikawa. The design of the “Kutani” BE@RBRICK takes on a similar chinoiserie pattern that was last seen in UNDERCOVER ‘s 2014 RTW collection as well as fragment design’s collaboration with UNDERCOVER and Starbucks. The hands, feet, ears and nose of the figure are in solid cobalt blue while delicate brush strokes can be found near the wrists, chest and ankles of the bear. fragment design’s double lightning bolt logo can be found at the back.
Those interested in this collectible will be required to enter Medicom Toy’s raffle where those selected will be able to purchase the fragment design Kutani BE@RBRICK for ¥199,800 JPY (approximately $1,900 USD). For more information on the lottery process, head over to Medicom Toy’s website.
