Eckhaus Latta Delivers Square-Toed UGG Boots and Slippers for FW19
An aggressive revision of the classic fleece footwear.
First seen on the Fall/Winter 2019 runway, Eckhaus Latta‘s collaborative UGGs have finally hit retailers across the globe. Appropriately, the campaign for the genderless styles launched last month ahead of the LA pre-release, giving fans plenty of time to snap up the special shoes ahead of the colder weather.
Two Block Boots and Slides are on hand, sporting familiar UGG detailing in a heightened package. Aggressive square toes transform the surfer staple into an on-trend slip-on, with sturdy suede outers that resist stains and snow alike. The classic sheepskin fleece lining remains in place, with the boots and slides alike boasting UGGs substantial rubber outsoles for extra grip on slippery surfaces.
Considering the dynamic nature of the design, the color palette is suitably muted, with one notable exception. UGG’s preferred brown tone informs one pair of the Block Boots, with another pair and matching Slide offered in neutral black for understated styling. Of course, the most overt style is clearly the white Slide lined with bold orange fleece, ensuring that the clunky slip-ons are an even more potent statement piece.
