In celebration of Onitsuka Tiger‘s 70th anniversary, the brand has released a new video welcoming Will Smith as its new Social Media Project Partner. Smith, fresh off his first fashion campaign with Moncler, will be involved in various activities like environmental issues for Onitsuka Tiger, using his international sense of humor to influence “the borderless gender of young and old on a global scale.”
According to a press release, “Onitsuka Tiger aims to be a brand that contributes to society by providing Japanese technology and craftsmanship to the world through design and to become an SNS-friendly brand. This time I felt a strong affinity between Will Smith and the brand, which led to a collaboration.” In the footage above, Smith is sporting a yellow tracksuit showcasing the brand’s iconic color, as well as the ever-popular Mexico 66 SD silhouette.
