Following the reveal of KITH’s Fall/Winter 2019 lookbook, the New York-based brand hit the runway during New York Fashion Week to showcase its collaboration-studded KITH AIR collection. Special items include Disney-heavy outerwear and bespoke ASICS sneakers, to name only a few, with a handful of surprises seen in our exclusive backstage look.
An expansive array of collaborative items accompany KITH‘s subversive street-ready garments, which include cargo vests, corduroy trucker jackets, box logo tees and washed-out jeans. More conventional gear comes by way of co-branded RHUDE paisley shirts, hairy suede ASICS, chunky New Balances and weather resistant adidas Terrex layering pieces, like high-vis hats, parkas and beanies.
Some of the more off-kilter items were a wide array of Vogue-branded goods, like box logo tees, varsity jackets and sweatpants, accompanied by a huge spread of Disney goods, heavy on the Mickey Mouse imagery; the mascot appeared on denim jackets, collaborative Converse sneakers and corduroy caps. Elsewhere, Bergdorf Goodman branding co-mingled with floral basketball shorts and high-top RHUDE sneakers were styled with slubby socks, with a rich color palette and plush textiles reinforcing the collection’s effortless cool.
