Jesse Pinkman’s out for Revenge in New ‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie’ Trailer
The film marks creator Vince Gilligan’s directorial debut.
Following the release of a teaser trailer, Netflix has debuted a full trailer for the upcoming Breaking Bad film El Camino starring Aaron Paul as Jessie Pinkman and directed by the creator of the series Vince Gilligan. The trailer above takes place directly after the events of the series’ final episode, with the formerly kidnapped Pinkman retreating back to his friend’s house for safety while the cops are on the search for him.
It also shows a montage of Jessie checking on the people he cared about, like his previous girlfriend Andrea Cantillo and her son Brock, as well as his mentor Mike Ehrmantraut, only to learn that they’ve died. It was recently confirmed that Jonathan Banks will reprise his role as Mike, leading many to believe Walter White (Bryan Cranston) will make a return on screen as well. Gilligan will be making his directorial debut with the film, and previously stated in an interview:
“If, after 12 years, you haven’t watched Breaking Bad, you’re probably not going to start now. If you do, I hope that this movie would still be engaging on some level, but there’s no doubt in my mind that you won’t get as much enjoyment out of it. We don’t slow down to explain things to a non-Breaking Bad audience. I thought early on in the writing of the script, ‘Maybe there’s a way to have my cake and eat it too. Maybe there’s a way to explain things to the audience.’ If there was a way to do that, it eluded me.”
Check out the trailer above and watch El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie when it drops on Netflix October 11.
