Following the recent PORTER collaboration, NEIGHBORHOOD is joining forces with Eastpak for another set of special bags. The duo have conceived a quartet of items informed by NEIGHBORHOOD designer Shinsuke Takizawa’s fascination with the cultures of motorcycle and militaria, with each piece assuredly understated and sturdy.

All four bags are offered in black or olive shades, drawing from Eastpak’s heritage and NEIGHBORHOOD’s preferred points of inspiration. The “NBHD Padded” pack is a twist on Eastpak’s familiar Padded Pak’r backpack, transforming the staple with contrasting co-branded tape, embroidered “The Filth and the Fury” verbiage and tonal detailing. Similarly, the “NBHD Sling” remixes Eastpak’s Talky waist bag, utilizing the same sleek nylon shell and adjustable straps to elevate the approachable silhouette.

Meanwhile, the “NBHD Vest Bag” is a new style for Eastpak, yielding a cargo chest rig rife with pouches and pockets. 3M panels accent the supportive shoulder straps, while the tape detail and jointly-branded patch grace the front pockets. As the name implies, “NBHD The One” is an upgraded iteration of Eastpak’s The One shoulder bag, boasting a minimalist silhouette and the same graphic features on its front as the other items.

Expect NEIGHBORHOOD’s bag collection to hit Eastpak’s web store and select stockists on October 1. Take a closer look at the goods and watch an interview with Takizawa about the collaboration below.

Elsewhere, Saint Laurent equipped its latest backpack with Jacquard by Google technology.
