Throughout 2019, R&B superstar Jacquees has been focusing on building support for his forthcoming studio album Round 2, promoting the full-length through the release of records like the Lil Baby-assisted “Your Peace” and the Lil Keed- and Lil Gotit-propelled “Hot For It.” Now, for Round 2 LP’s latest major single, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter is teaming up with the hit-making duo of Young Thug and Gunna for a guitar-string-laden cut known as “Verify.”

“Me working with him [Young Thug] is always an honor ’cause we came from the same little roots. When I work with Thug, it’s always special,” Jacquees shared with Billboard, breaking down his creative connection and relationship with Young Thug. “He’s really different and he can go so many ways with it, and I know that he believes in me so that’s always a plus … Me and Thug, we’ve got too many records.”

Besides Young Thug and Gunna, the 15-track Round 2 will also deliver new collaborations with Future, Summer Walker, Ty Dolla $ign, TK Kravitz, Bluff City and others.

“I don’t need a Super Bowl team / Throw it on me, my position locked down / Fixin’ your heart from shit before me / But you know he won’t set you up for let downs,” Jacquees sings on “Verify.” “I’m participating / In whatever it is (Yeah, whatever) / The charges that you’re in (Yeah) / I’ll throw the towel all in for you.”

You can listen to Jacquees, Young Thug and Gunna’s new collaborative single “Verify” above, and expect Jacquees’ Round 2 album to hit streaming services and similar platforms in the near future.

Earlier this week, Gunna also linked up with Lil Mosey for the new “Stuck In A Dream” video.
