Drake Earns First Solo Diamond Single With "God's Plan"
The ‘Scorpion’ cut has moved at least 10 million equivalent units.

Drake just added another feat to his already impressive list of achievements. The OVO founder has officially earned his first solo diamond-certified song in the United States with “God’s Plan” moving at least 10 million equivalent units, becoming only the 32nd track in the country to acquire this certification. To give the rapper even more of a reason to celebrate, the Scorpion cut also actually surpassed 11 million units in the U.S. alone, effectively making it an 11-time platinum single on top of the diamond certification.
“God’s Plan” has had an amazing run since its release January 2018. The lead single received Grammy nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and won Best Rap Song, debuted on top of the Billboard Hot 100, broke first-day streaming records on Spotify and Apple Music and was officially 2018’s most-streamed song on both platforms.
In other music news, a third man has been arrested in connection with the death of Mac Miller.
