A Look Inside CELINE's Mount Street London Store

Ever since Hedi Slimane joined CELINE in 2018, the creative director has been changing the fashion house’s direction of design. CELINE stores internationally have been redesigned, connecting retail space, furniture and architectural design in a search for harmony. Most recently, CELINE Mount Street in London has opened. Designed by Hedi Slimane, the new space will feature the brand’s Winter 2019 collections for both men and women and the launch of its Triomphe Canvas line.
Measuring 270 square-meters in total, the new London store will be almost half the size of the Madison Avenue flagship store — the label’s largest CELINE boutique. Similar to the New York store, Mount Street’s interior is set with natural rocks, cream-veined black granite and brass and gold mirrors, juxtaposing different materials, textures and forms. The newest additions to the Celine Art Project are also present, including works by emerging artists David Jablonowski, Fay Ray and Tiril Hasselknippe and a specially commissioned artwork by Lukas Geronimas.
