BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE Brings Immersive "BAOBAOVOICE" Exhibition to London
The multisensory experience takes place during the London Design Festival.

BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE is presenting an immersive multisensory exhibition at Protein Studios in London called “BAOBAOVOICE.”
The experience takes place during the London Design Festival and celebrates the unique nature of the triangular-shape-adorned bags now synonymous with the Japanese sub-brand, which were introduced in 2010. It’s a display of vibrant color palettes and iconic patterns that adorn a myriad of unique bags, which will sit alongside a kaleidoscopic presentation of over 100 bags hat create a rainbow-like effect under the vision of BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE.
“BAOBAOVOICE” allows visitors to engage with the bags like they would a musical instrument, incorporating touch, sound and sight into the exhibition. The experience encourages you to touch the structures, and will be supported by a state-of-the-art sound system that synchronizes the bag’s movement to the sounds. These sounds will correspond with a visual which will be displayed on a large wall, making for diverse, dynamic visual and sonic textures.
The “BAOBAOVOICE” exhibition will also feature a pop-up shop that will sell bags from the Fall/Winter 2019 collection. Take a look at what to expect from the exhibition in the gallery above, and experience it for yourself from September 17 — 23.
In other art news, KAWS has announced that he will be coming to London soon.
