Balenciaga Drops Understated Take on 176-Panel Track.2 Sneaker in "Grey/Black"
Its latest Fall-ready offering.
Balenciaga continues to introduce new colorways of its 176-panel Track.2 sneaker with the release of a minimalist “Grey/Black” iteration.
The Demna Gvasalia-designed piece follows on from the recently-revealed “Black/Neon Green” Track.2 drop, and opts for an understated tonal colorway that’s perfect for the impending Fall weather. A mixture of nylon, mesh and rubber interlocks and weaves above and below each other for a complex layered look, adding shadows and depth to the monochromatic upper. A minimal amount of branding doesn’t distract from the technical construction, and laces are delivered in the same tonal hue to continue the clean theme.
A “track.2.” logo appears in white on the tongue, while the “BB” emblem has been embossed into the toe cap. An augmented heel is highlighted by clear plastic, white rubber and multiple shades of grey, which come together to dress the protruding chunky design details that work to propel feet forward.
