ASICS Delivers Fall-Ready Footwear With GEL-KAYANO 5 OG "Black/Silver"

ASICS has given its GEL-KAYANO 5 OG a “Black/Silver” rework, adding metallic detailing and burst of red throughout its design for a clean, retro-futuristic aesthetic.
The Fall-ready pair combines high-grain leather with mesh and suede panels, using the tri-color palette to distinctively segment each component on the shoe’s upper. Metallic silver has been used to highlight ASICS’ mid-panel stripe motif, tongue tag and rear-quarter branding, while red outlines areas such as the tongue and heel. Red has also been used more prominently to highlight the sole unit and GEL cushioning system.
Contrasting the premium-looking black leather upper is a white sole unit that sports the “DUOMAX” tag alongside the aforementioned exposed red-hued technology. Rounding out this simplistic design is a black outsole, a set of black laces and a touch of reflective material on the toebox.
