Paris Saint-Germain Goes Retro for 2019/20 Third Kit
Heavily inspired by the club’s 1989/90 look.

With the start of the Champions League just around the corner, Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain has just revealed its retro-inspired third kit for the 2019/20 season.
The new kit is heavily influenced from the club’s 1989/90 look featuring a predominately white base with a vertical red and blue stripe running down the left portion. Even the red Nike Futura insignia on the right chest remains the same, along with an updated club badge on the left. Finally a diagonal striped pattern with the word “Paris” running throughout the kit and a button-down collar finishes off the overall look of PSG’s third option.
“PSG’s jersey archive is like a treasure trove for football fans,” explains Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director. “So, the chance to bring back an all-time classic and put our stamp on it was a particularly exciting opportunity. Once we saw how good the jacquard pattern and retro logo looked, it actually fed into our decision to use these as themes throughout our entire range of 2019-20 third kits.”
The kit was worn by the club this past Saturday when they faced off against Strasbourg. Interested fans can purchase Paris Saint-Germain’s 2019/20 third kit now at nike.com and PSG’s online store for €90 EUR (approximately $100 USD).
