Emerging Scandinavian label mfpen has held its second-ever runway show at Copenhagen Fashion Week, showcasing a selection of SS20 clothes which draw inspiration from the short transition between Winter and Spring in Scandinavia.
mfpen is known for its focus on fabrics and fit — a reason why HYPEBEAST named it one of this year’s best emerging Scandinavian brands. For SS20, the label presents knitwear, tailored outerwear and a number of relaxed, draped fits throughout its collection.
Standout pieces from the SS20 offering include a billowing oversized blue button-down shirt, a deconstructed shiny navy blazer and a camel trench coat, which features pleats and bold black topstitching along the shoulder and upper-arm seams.
Knitwear is kept minimal while jackets, including a standout the Harrington-style piece, show a more playful side to the Copenhagen-based brand thanks to the blue, white and orange check colorway.
mfpen describes its SS20 collection as “The romantic feeling when seasons change, flowers ready to bloom, the smell of spring, and brighter days to come.” Take a look at the runway shots in the gallery above and shop mfpen’s current collection online now.
