After releasing a pair of its glossy “Enamel” Jack Purcells, Converse has taken another spin on the classic silhouette, reworking its uppers with Cordura fabric. An array of muted earth tones cover the sneaker’s multi-paneled build, giving the hi-tech textile a cozy homespun look.
Sewing together panels shaded in grey, olive and beige, the uppers are contrasted with crisp white laces and a clean midsole. The tip of the tongue comes with a small “Cordura Nyco” label while round metal eyelets and subtle top-stitching details the sneaker. As a nod to the classic design of the silhouette, the midsole is kept white, joining the tonal toe cap that’s marked with the iconic “smiley” motif. Completing the piece, “Jack Purcell” branding is stamped at the heel.
The Converse Jack Purcell Cordura Nyco is currently available at atmos-tokyo.com for $85 USD.
