Following on from unveiling the new triple black Raito Racer, Y-3 has debuted its latest silhouette. For the new release, the Yohji Yamamoto-led line takes on adidas‘ FYW S-97 sneaker. The redesign pays tribute to the silhouette’s history, and particularly its status as one of adidas’ first running sneakers to come with Feet You Wear technology.
The Y-3 FYW S-97 is constructed from a Primeknit upper, overlaid with suede and leather detailing around the heel and forefoot. This upper is adorned with an embroidered Yohji Yamamoto signature, and sits atop a full length BOOST midsole in a contrasting cage.
The sneaker is set to drop in two muted colorways, including an all-white version with black detailing. The second design is the reverse of this, and also features hits of red around the ankle. Take a look at both colorways in the gallery above, and expect the Y-3 FYW S-97 to arrive at Y-3 flagship stores, Y-3.com and select retailers on July 18.
