Square Enix's 'Marvel's Avengers' Showcased Main Characters' Alternate Skins at SDCC
Images leaked on Reddit.
Japanese video game developer Square Enix previously debuted the first look at its upcoming Marvel’s Avengers title at E3 2019, and during San Diego Comic-Con this past week, the company unveiled a number of alternate skins to our favorite Avengers. While the reveal was not posted online for the public, some attendees managed to snap photos during the panel, giving the rest of us who didn’t make it to SDCC a glimpse at how the superheroes could look.
Captain America seems to be getting two alternate skins: one with a scaled design reminiscent of the suit Chris Evans wore in Endgame, and the other seems to be Sam Wilson aka Falcon’s version of the Cap, featuring a heavily white suit with a grey harness and panels separating red and blue stripes. The audience also caught a look at Iron Man’s futuristic MK42 armor along with Thor’s two Viking-style suits. Finally, fans also had a sneak peek to Black Widow’s skins, providing various load-outs and accessories for her iconic black suit. All the images are linked below.
For Marvel enthusiasts and Square Enix fans alike, Marvel’s Avengers is set to release May 15 next year for most platforms including Xbox One, PS4, Switch, PC and Google Stadia.
Elsewhere, Avengers: Endgame has finally overtaken Avatar’s 9-year box-office record to become the highest-grossing film of all time.
