Nike debuted its new lightweight React City model earlier this month, releasing a monochromatic black-and-white version of the laceless sneaker. Following swiftly behind its predecessor, the running shoe has now surfaced with a splash of color as the brand pulls in plum-hued “Hyper Violet” details for a refresher.

The upper is defined by its zippered and asymmetrical construction, which is covered by a translucent “Gunsmoke” overlay on the lateral side. Nike then layers in “Hyper Violet” elements through various logo placements, including React emblems placed at the midsole and below the collar. Meanwhile, on the medial side, the purple tone returns to cover the entirety of the side panel, while more branding lends a nod to the company’s Run Utility range. A light grey Swoosh and colorblocked outsole round it off.

The React City “Black/Hyper Violet/White/Gunsmoke” is available now on Nike Japan’s website for ¥16,200 JPY (approximately $145 USD).
