adidas Skateboarding Celebrates Beastie Boys With Limited-Edition Americana

The Beastie Boys and adidas Skateboarding have teamed up to honor the hip-hop group with a commemorative shoe in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of Paul’s Boutique, the band’s famous second studio album. To celebrate the milestone, BEYOND THE STREETS hosted LL Cool J, Mike D and Ad-Rock alongside family and friends for a live discussion of the record’s influence and to officially unveil the special-edition sneaker.

Dubbed the adidas Skateboarding x Beastie Boys Americana, the low-top style combines cues from the “Golden Era of ‘90s skateboarding” along with “classic adidas sport heritage.” The upper has been crafted of vegan canvas and is featured in off-white with heather grey details, including along the collar and the Three Stripes design. Artist Eric Haze created a “Beastie Boys” graffiti tag logo for the kicks, which has been printed on the tongue and the insole of the shoe. A retro gum rubber outsole finishes everything off.

The adidas Skateboarding x Beastie Boys Americana is available starting today, July 25, exactly thirty years since the release of Paul’s Boutique. Look out for the sneaker at select skateboard retailers across North America and the BEYOND THE STREETS gift shop in Brooklyn.
