Skepta Enlists Sophie Ellis-Bextor for "Love Me Not" Live Session
Watch the rapper take over London’s Maida Vale studio.
Skepta has delivered a live session version of his hit song “Love Me Not” featuring Cheb Rabi, B-Live and Sophie Ellis-Bextor at the Maida Vale studios. Skepta released Ignorance is Bliss back in May, a 13-track album which marked his return as one of the UK’s most notable MCs. “Love Me Not,” which appears halfway through the album, sampled Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s 2001 hit “Murder on the Dancefloor.”
In his live Maida Vale session, Skepta enlists Cheb Rabi and B-Live for an intimate, slow-motion strobe light and smoke-filled video. Take a look at the visual for Skepta’s “Love Me Not” Maida Vale session above. Check out the remainder of his tour dates below.
In other news, Dave, slowthai and more have been shortlisted for the 2019 Mercury Prize award.
