Lou Phelps, Kaytranada & Tony Stone Unite for New Single "Cinnamon Toast"
A “fun, bouncy record about being infatuated by a woman and her scent.”
Back in April, Lou Phelps linked up with WondaGurl for the official music video in support of their collaborative cut “Word,” taking inspiration from legendary album artwork to create a unique and creative visual. Now, reconnecting with his brother Kaytranada, Lou Phelps serves up a collaboration with Planet Giza’s Tony Stone. Known as “Cinnamon Toast,” Lou Phelps’ latest release boasts a beat from Kaytranada and is billed as his summertime single for 2019.
“I got a FaceTime call when I was laying by the beach in Hawaii, it was Tony Stone and ‘he was showing me Cinnamon Toast.’ Shit was so hard I had to write my verse then and there,” Lou Phelps shares via an official statement, breaking down the back-story behind his latest single. “Turned out to be a masterpiece. Big ups to the brother Kaytra for the beat.”
“‘Cinnamon Toast’ is a fun, bouncy record about being infatuated by a woman and her scent,” Tony Stone shares with Billboard, explaining the song’s themes. “Me and Lou flow effortlessly on the beat while working on the proper way to approach her.”
