Upcoming Batman Comic 'Curse Of The White Knight' Receives an Official Trailer
The sequel to the previous ‘Batman: White Knight.’
After announcing last month that Batman would be securing a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the DC hero will be returning in the form of an upcoming comic book sequel, dubbed Curse Of The White Knight, following its preceding Batman: White Knight miniseries.
Illustrated in a nocturnal setting, the animated trailer showcases a reimagined Batmobile speeding through blazing fires as it passes by various scenes from the series, offering a glimpse of the kind of artwork we can expect. The forthcoming series is the result of the collaborative work between Sean Murphy and Matt Hollingsworth, with Murphy on the writing and drawing; Hollingsworth, the colors. With Batman: White Knight seeing widely positive reviews, fans can look forward to a similar level of the artistry from the duo. The original 2017 White Knight comic followed a storyline where the Joker was able to reclaim his sanity as Jack Napier, flipping the familiar villain-hero dynamic of what we’re used to seeing between the characters.
In the Curse Of The White Knight, however, the Joker has once again taken control over Napier. He sets out to reign terror over Gotham and undo the reputation that Napier previously established. Compared to the first issue, we see a much more humanistic side of Bruce Wayne as he deals with the loss of his friend Alfred while struggling to protect the city from the Joker.
