Batman Is Getting a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Announced during Batman’s 80th anniversary.

As part of his 80th anniversary, it has been announced that DC Comics’ Batman will be getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2020. Coincidentally, this year also marks the 30th anniversary of Tim Burton‘s Batman film, which changed comic book movies forever. Other talents earning their star next year includes the likes of Spike Lee, Mahershala Ali, Chris Hemsworth, Octavia Spencer, and Julia Roberts.
While fans are currently petitioning to get Carrie Fisher a posthumous star, late names like Andy Kaufman and Muddy Waters will be receiving their awards next year as well. “This year’s choices were particularly unique,” Walk of Fame honoree Vin Di Bona said. “We were able to recognize the talents of 35 artists who have already built a legacy here in Hollywood. Also, we were able to celebrate many new talented artists who’ve touched our hearts in film, television, radio and a variety of musical categories.”
In other entertainment news, Kid Cudi and Big Boi will appear in Shudder’s upcoming Creepshow series.
