One month after releasing his “100 Bands” record with Quavo, 21 Savage, YG and Meek, Mustard is back with another high-profile collaborative single. This time around, the West Coast hitmaker is supporting his forthcoming Perfect Ten album by serving up a new collaboration with Tyga, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg and YG, “On GOD.”
“He likes to do a lot of storytelling. [YG's] probably one of the best storytellers I know,” Mustard previously explained to Billboard, opening up about his creative relationship with his “On GOD” collaborator YG and his recent work on his latest studio album. “I think with a lot of his album there’s stories and a sprinkle in of what we usually do as far as the turned up shit and the ratchet shit. I think this album has a little bit of everything. It’s a good album. A lot of songs on there I did by myself. It’s the same strategy to start from scratch. If I brought YG a beat in and made it at home, he probably would never use it. You have to do it from scratch. All of my favorites are the stuff that sounds like the original Mustard and YG.”
You can stream Mustard, YG, Tyga, A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg’s new collaborative single “On GOD” above. Mustard’s Perfect Ten album is currently available for pre-order via multiple outlets and platforms, and is scheduled for release on June 28 courtesy of 10 Summers and Interscope.
