White Mountaineering SS20 Playfully Styles Utilitarian Menswear
Featuring new footwear alongside Danner & adidas.

Tokyo-based imprint White Mountaineering took to Paris over the weekend to debut its Spring/Summer 2020 collection. Following its reputation for technically-aligned apparel often associated with the outdoors, the brand took its runway show to an open terrace venue, with designer Yosuke Aizawa relishing in high-octane looks that served up outdoor lifestyle-fueled sensibilities.
Styled in usual bricolage manner, Aizawa’s latest collection served up looks that featured a sense of contradiction. Technical GORE-TEX outerwear meet linen pants, striped patterns meet tropical prints, and more. As is usual to Aizawa’s vision, the collection doesn’t shy away from multi-layered looks, with jackets and overcoat-like ponchos being met with boldly printed base-layers, utilitarian infused trousers, and more. Alongside the clothes, White Mountaineering’s latest range has also offered up a few new collaborative footwear pieces alongside adidas and Danner.
