Description

Yosuke Aizawa is a Japanese fashion designer, and the founder and Creative Director of White Mountaineering. Born in 1977, Aizawa graduated in 2001 from Tama Art University in Tokyo, where he majored in Product and Textile Design. He later became apprentice to Junya Watanabe. Aizawa wanted to combine his lifelong passion for the great outdoors into his fashion career, and eventually launched his brand White Mountaineering in 2006. His knack for blending elements of American heritage with quality materials rivals that of his former mentor Watanabe. Aizawa represents a new wave of clothing that outdoor garment designs have the versatility to be worn for many other situations and environments. Via White Mountaineering, Aizawa has participated in collaborative projects with the likes of Saucony, Burton, Porter, Teva, Seiko and Barbour.
