Toyota's Latest Uniforms Are Being Designed by White Mountaineering's Yosuke Aizawa
Elevated designs for top Japanese engineers.

When Toyota sought to redesign the uniforms for engineers at its Toyopet facilities, it tapped a Japanese fashion heavyweight. Yosuke Aizawa of White Mountaineering joined the in-house team to create suits that elevated the previous designs’ functionality. Everything was taken into account, from the construction to the color; Aizawa worked with the factory to perfect the hardwearing layered cotton shell and reinforced seams on the suits, creating dozens of samples to perfect the garment. He incorporated green as a base color, because it shows fewer stains than the old white suits and its instantly recognizable, yet understated.
The suits come in two iterations for junior engineers and team leaders, along with matching caps and sneakers. Head to Toyota’s Toyopet website to learn more.
Recently, Aizawa’s White Mountaineering dropped a variety of graphic navy T-shirts just in time for the seasonal shift.
