Valentino hit Paris Fashion Week with a louche array of Spring/Summer 2020 menswear looks. Anchored by the heavyweight Garavani Climbers sneakers, the collection hinged on creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s appreciation for unfettered ease, realized by way of boxy layers and draping trousers.

Boxy short-sleeved shirts are emboldened by color-rich prints, displaying forest scenes, pastoral oceanside getaways and various camouflage patterns. The nature prints inform the luxurious looks with an organic edge, subverting the simplicity of a shirt tucked into slacks with bright hues. Cross-body bags, branded leather belts, tortoiseshell sunglasses, beaded necklaces and similarly-patterned bags complement the effortless styling, further elevating the easygoing items with plentiful visual appeal. More standout goods include washed-out denim trucker jackets, fringed sweaters, knee-length parkas and unstructured peak lapel blazers, all reinforcing the collection’s sun-baked aesthetic.

Elsewhere at Paris Fashion Week, Acne Studios introduced a dynamic range of progressive menswear items.
