Following weeks of speculation, Nintendo finally revealed Banjo-Kazooie, mascots of the Nintendo 64 era, will make their Super Smash Bros. Ultimate debut.

The developers behind the duo, RARE (the creators of Donkey Kong Country), were bought by Microsoft in 2002 and has since never appeared in a new game on a Nintendo console until now.

Meanwhile, the Hero from Dragon Quest XI‘s will make his way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as well. The Akira Toriyama-designed protagonist comes as an updated port of Dragon Quest XI comes to the Nintendo Switch. The character will utilize the game’s echo fighter mechanic to change his skin into the various Hero protagonists throughout the Dragon Quest series.

Although it is unknown when both of these characters will arrive, it is confirmed it’ll be sometime during the fall at a speculated price of $5.99 USD, the same price as the DLC characters Joker and Piranha Plant.

In other Nintendo news, a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is in the works.
