'Persona 5's' Joker Joins the 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' Roster
And he’s bringing some good friends with him.
Persona 5’s Joker is the newest member of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate lineup, joining the Nintendo Switch game as the first of five DLC fighters.
Nintendo unveiled Joker’s gameplay in a 15-minute video, highlighting his special moves, magic skill and weapons. Joker will also be able to summon his main persona, Arsene, to deal greater damage and help with counters. For his Final Smash, the protagonist will replicate Persona 5’s all-out attack action sequence, complete with the cutscene and victory screen from the original game.
The Challenger Pack 1 introduces the Mementos stage as a new battle arena and will feature cameos from the other Phantom Thieves cheering their fearless leader on. With the inclusion of music from Persona 3, 4 and 5, the stage’s base color will change depending on which track is being played.
Aside from the DLC information, Nintendo revealed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 3.0 will release extra Mii Fighter costumes and helpful apps for paid members.
