Meguru Yamaguchi continues to elevate his abstract compositions for his upcoming solo exhibition at GR Gallery in New York City. Entitled “SHADOW PIECES,” the presentation will display a total of 15 original works executed with the Brooklyn-based artist’s trademark wood cut-out technique. However, Yamaguchi introduces a new method across the latest pieces that involve spray-painting vivid color gradients directly on the sculptural bases.
Accompanying “Shadow Pieces” is a selection of recent works by the artist’s father Katsuzo Yamaguchi which will be on display in the second room of the gallery.
