Dior Introduces Kim Jones' First Beachwear Capsule for Summer 2019
Complete with watery Hajime Sorayama art.

With the seasonal pop-ups in full swing, Dior continues rolling out new goods designed by Men’s Artistic Director Kim Jones. As the temperature begins to climb, Jones debuts his first collection of beachwear for the luxury label, simultaneously introducing new patterns courtesy of artist Hajime Sorayama.
Encompassing a wide variety of vacation essentials, the capsule is packed with lightweight textiles, relaxed cuts and must-have accessories, including convertible nylon totes and a new iteration of Dior’s B23 sneaker. Two distinct sets of artwork showcase Sorayama’s signature “Sexy Robot” design cavorting atop a field of flowers or amidst other robot creatures in the ocean spray, with uninterrupted prints gracing silk bandanas and a cotton beach towel.
Wearables include Bermuda shorts and a packable nylon jacket, with plenty of functional detailing and glistening metal accents underlining the luxurious motif. Effortless T-shirt and swim short sets yield graceful summer styling, accented by a bevy of bags that vary in size form a small pouch to a convertible messenger bag, both complete with three-dimensional “DIOR” branding. Leather linings deliver premium contrast to the functional nylon shells, complemented by branded black straps and chunky zipper pulls.
The beachwear is currently exclusively available on Dior’s web store with prices ranging from $250 USD to $2,700 USD.
Most recently, Yoon showed off a KAWS-designed seasonal perfume case.
